SOCIAL DANCING

Welcome to NIKA Ballroom and Latin Dance Academy (part of The Ballroom, LLC). We are thrilled to have you as a member of our elite studio. No matter what your dance goal is, our coaches will help you reach it , by creating a special program exclusively for you!

For our social groups we offer two unique-style programs:

Basics of Latin American and Ballroom dancing - class meets every Wednesday at 8pm to study technical elements of Cha cha cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive, followed by instruction in Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot or Quickstep. The program of this class is similar to our professional and pre-professional classes, but is significantly simplified, so it can be easily digested by a newcomer, and still you get a real DanceSport experience!! Class is suitable for people 16+

Senior 60+ - this program is designed to help our seniors stay active and healthy. Created and taught by Elena Zakharova. You get to learn all 10 dances in a slow pace and friendly atmosphere. Class meets every Saturday at 10am.

We offer a wide variety of private programs, including Wedding dance choreography.

Our dancers are available for a special treat to your event guests - they can perform a Latin or Ballroom dance show and teach you and your friends a movement or two>

Also don't forget that dance lessons and classes can make a great gift! Certificates for any amount can be obtained at the studio or via email dance@nikadanceacademy.com.

SOCIAL PRIVATE PROGRAMS

If you are looking for a place to start your dance journey, NIKA offers social programs to introduce students ages Young Adults through Seniors to the Ballroom Dance. You will learn basics of the most popular dances: Salsa, Waltz, Tango, Swing etc.

Social private lessons can be bought separately.

The price per lesson is $80-120 depending on a coach.

Ballroom dance (DanceSport) lessons are a great gift to your friends and loved ones. Gift certificates for any amount can be purchased. Contact us today!!

WEDDINGS AND SPECIAL OCCASIONS

For weddings and other special occasions' choreographies we offer special packages:

5 lesson special choreography session with music adjustment (song of your choice) - $450 Choreography advice from celebrity coach Ekaterina Zakharoff* (30 min during your first lesson) - $100 Special one-on-one lesson with Ekaterina Zakharoff - $150 5 lessons special choreography session with music adjustment with Ekaterina Zakharoff - $750 Extra lessons can be obtained at the coach's regular price ($80-90), not including sessions with Ekaterina Zakharoff.

*Ekaterina Zakharoff choreographed dances appeared on Dancing With The Stars and America's Got Talent TV Shows.

PERFORMANCES AT YOUR EVENT

If you organize a party for your friends, family or colleagues, our dancers can be hired to perform dances of their repertoire and/or to teach a special lesson for you and your guests. Service contract is required for this type of services. Contact us today!!

OUR SOCIAL PROGRAMS POLICIES

Pre-payment and 24-HOUR CANCELLATION are required! No exceptions!

Please keep in mind that if you are late for you lesson, the coach will still have to finish on time in order to start on time with the next student.

Please come 5-10 minutes before your scheduled tome to have enough time yo warm-up and repeat your subjects.

Please NO VIDEO RECORDING OR PHOTOGRAPHY unless specified by your coach. But bring your device, we will definitely record your routine for you to practice!!

We recommend to bring a notebook or any devise to make written notices during the lesson.

Most importantly - HAVE FUN!!

General liability and release form has to be signed for each participant before the first class or lesson.

Dress code

Ladies

Ballroom: dress or long skirt or pants, and leotard or blouse, ballroom or practice shoes.
Latin: dress or leggings and or skirt and leotard or blouse, latin or practice shoes.

Men

Ballroom: dress pants and dress shirt, ballroom shoes
Latin: dance pants, tight or lose shirt, latin shoes

Where to purchase dance shoes

We require all dancers to have dance shoes that provide enough support for their feet. We can recommend companies like Capezio, International, Supadance, Paoul, Dance Naturals, Freed, Aida, Ray Rose. Please consult with your coach before buying your shoes. Dancers will not be allowed on the floor without appropriate pair of shoes. Dance shoes cannot be worn outside of the dance studio.
